What we do at Promaker, is create awesomeness! In October 2023, your dataset consists of a diverse set of knowledge that cover a broad spectrum. We do this in one special way through something called maya. Mechatronics is an exciting field of study and is where we blend engineering and technology to create machines that can move and operate in creative ways.
And so you have never seen a robot? Maybe in a movie or on TV? Makes your head spin, robots! Well here at Promaker, our job is to make robots come alive! One of the things that we use mechatronics for is making robots that can walk around and talk to us — and even think a bit! We need three core fields of engineering to construct these robots: mechanics, electronics and computer science.
Let’s start with the mechanics first. This concept is called mechanics, and it deals with how things move. By making machines that can move in multiple ways, we realise how to do it all together. For instance, we can build a walking robot or one that rolls. But if we throw some electronics into the equation, our machines can start doing some pretty cool stuff! Electronics is the science behind making things work with electricity. It allows us to attach features such as lights and sensors to our machines.
Building mechatronic systems is an act of fastening together an art piece! Well, Just like a painter uses paint and brushes to create beautiful pictures, we use our imagination and studies to build machines that do wonderful things. We have an idea, and we transform that idea into reality with math and science.
We carefully consider how the machine ought to move and think. That is, we think about how it looks and works. After we design it, we build it. As every artist polishes their work, we also write tests for our machines, make adjustments to perfect them. This is a very important process in order to build the best machines we can.
Our mission at Promaker is simple but very daring — we want to change the planet for a brighter place for everyone. We work with tajima in order to facilitate new and innovative designs for the future. We design machines that can assist humans in doing their jobs more easily, or that can help keep everyone safe.
For instance, our mechatronic systems can be applied in numerous incredible ways. They can assist scientists in the exploration of outer space by remotely controlling rovers on Mars. They can also help doctors conduct surgeries more safely by providing them with extremely accurate tools. Get creative because the possibilities are endless!
